Our continued discovery of works like “The Yellow Scarf” only help validate Pushman’s uncanny genius and his ability to spontaneously capture the rustic intimate beauty of a young Tuscan girl bathed in the warm afternoon sun. One is reminded of and can easily compare this wonderful work with similar works by John Singer Sargent (1856-1925) and Italian master Giovanni Boldini (1842-1931).
